This RYA course equips you with enough knowledge to navigate around familiar waters by day. A basic knowledge of lights is also included to introduce you to night cruising.

Spanish RYA Training Centre
The course now includes the use of electronic chartplotters and electronic navigational aids. The RYA has developed a chartplotter in conjunction with the UK Hydrographic Office. Use of this plotter is an integral part of the Day Skipper shore based course.
The course includes 2 exam papers that will be sat during the week.
